How To Tell Your Imprint That She’s Your Imprint
By Mama4Dukes

Chapter 02:
Two evenings later, Embry and I were patrolling together. We ran through the woods and didn’t detect the scent of leech anywhere. Sam had a feeling we were done with leeches for good now that the redhead was destroyed.
“ So, have you told Bella about the imprint yet?”
“ You know I haven’t, Em.”
“ You’ve got to man-up and tell her. This is ridiculous. It’s gone on for over a month now. Enough is enough. She’s your imprint.”
“ Yeah, I know. I just have to figure out a way to tell her.”
“ Do what I told you to do. Follow her around. Get to know what she’s like. Why don’t we start now? We can go to her house and watch her from the tree outside her room.”
“ How come you know there’s a tree outside her room?”
“ Um… um… Jacob told me.” Embry shuffled on his paws nervously. I’ll think more about that later.
I couldn’t think of anything better to do, so we headed to her house. We returned to human form and climbed onto a tree in front of her room. She had just come out of the shower and was clad only in a towel. She tossed the towel aside and went to her dresser drawer stark naked to get some clothes. I was mesmerized by the sight of her body, and so was Embry by the looks of it. Bella slid a pair of panties on. Red thong panties. Oh yeah. She bent down at the waist, reached for the bottom drawer, and… Wait a minute! Embry is watching this, too. In fact, he’s perched comfortably on a tree limb as if he’s been here before. Wait a sec? Did he just pull out a granola bar and a bottle of water from the little bag hanging from that branch there?
“Embry, do you do this regularly?”
“Do what?”
“Watch my imprint.”
“Of course not!” He turned to me with a hurt look, shook his head, and then turned his attention back to Bella. “Oh, yeah, baby. Reach for that moisturizer. Come on, it’s right on your dresser behind your deodorant. Rub it all over that body of yours. That’s it, right on your tits, too,” Embry whispered.
“What the hell? You pervert!” I took my hand and covered his eyes.
“Dude! I’m the one who brought you here; I should at least be able to see!”
“Fuck you! Get your eyes off of my imprint!”
We started slapping each other back and forth in the tree. A moment later, Bella turned around, noticed something in the tree, threw her towel back around her, and screamed at the top of her lungs. Chief Swan came rushing up the stairs and into her room.
“ Daddy! Someone was watching me from the tree!” she shrieked.
“ Get in the bathroom and stay there!” he ordered. “And put some clothes on!” He went bolting out of the room.
“Shit! We’ve got to get out of here!” I shouted.
Embry and I hopped down from the tree and ran into the forest. The sound of Chief Swan’s rifle firing at us rent the air several times in our wake.
“Great fucking idea, Embry! Now Chief Swan thinks that some pervert is after his daughter.”
“At least we got to see Bella naked.”
Yeah, that was definitely a beautiful sight!
The next day, Sam held a pack meeting after school. Again, we were all in wolf form.
“ Shit, this is so unfair!” Paul complained. “You two got to see Bella naked, and I was assaulted with images of Kim running through Jake’s brain.”
“I’m sorry, and Kim wasn’t naked! I’m a gentleman. I don’t take advantage of women like you do.”
“ It doesn’t fucking matter, Jake! Any sane person would choose Bella rubbing moisturizer on her skin over watching you cut your lips on Kim’s braces!”
“ Enough!” Sam yelled. “Have any of you detected any leech scents?”
“ No,” we all stated.
“ Good. Let’s hope it stays that way. Then, if we don’t detect any bloodsuckers during the next month, we can start easing off on our schedule. Now, Jared, what’s going on with your imprint? Have you told her yet?
“ No.”
“ Jesus Christ, how hard is it to tell your imprint that she’s your imprint? What’s the problem here?”
“ I don’t want to fuck up!”
“ You aren’t going to fuck up. Bella Swan is good with weird and…” Sam paused when visions of us running from the Swan residence entered my brain. “Why the hell was Chief Swan firing his rifle at you and Embry?”
“ It was Embry’s fault!” I blurted out. “He had this crazy idea to go and scope out my imprint so we could learn more about her, and she happened to be coming out of the shower.”
“ And then Jared got all jealous ’cause I was checking out her hot bod-which was clad only in a red thong, by the way, and he covered my eyes with his hands; then the two of us got into an argument in the tree. Bella noticed something rustling in the tree and screamed for her father, who came out and fired at us. So, it wasn’t my fault. It was Jared’s fault for being a jealous prick!”
“ Embry had snacks and drinks stored in a bag on the tree by her room, all ready to go. It was like he was on a stakeout or something!”
“ I don’t want either of you climbing the tree to watch Bella like perverts anymore! Especially you, Embry! I know this isn’t the first time you’ve been up on that tree limb. If you want to see Bella, use the fucking front door,” Sam yelled. “Any other news?”
“ Embry always scopes out, Bella. I’ve seen it in his brain before. She looks better in her black bikini panties, by the way. She doesn’t have enough ass meat for a thong,” Paul decided to pipe in with his opinion. “Anyway, Jared and I overheard Bella and her friends saying they’re going to the March Madness Beach Party on the Makah Reservation on Friday night.”
Sam’s wolf eyes bulged. “Um, shit, that party’s… it’s… well… it’s… Someone has to protect her. It’s too wild for her to go to. She’ll come home drunk, laid, or knocked up with some Makah guy’s kid, or possibly all three. Did Charlie give her permission to go? He knows about those parties. He used to go to them as a teen with Billy and Harry.”
“ Um, no, we overheard her saying she would lie to Charlie.”
“ Well, someone has to save Bells. She’s innocent, and I mean really innocent,” Jacob stated.
“ I want Jared and Paul at that party on Friday night.”
“ Hey, that’s not fair! We want to go, too!” Quil yelled.
“ You know something. It might not be a bad idea for you and Embry to go, too. Bella’s going to need all the protection she can get. We don’t want any Makah boys handling one of our imprints.”
“ Yeah!” we all agreed in solidarity.
“ You know, Jared, this wouldn’t be a problem if you had just told Bella about the imprint when it happened,” Jacob said.
“ Jake! You’re the one who was keeping her away from me!”
“ Touché.”
We phased back and went home after that. I wanted to get some shut-eye before I had to patrol in six more hours with Paul.
Friday night…
March Madness Beach Party
We were at Hobuck Beach on the Makah Reservation, where the March Madness Beach Party was being held. Several tents were already pitched, and people were setting up more. Sam was so freaked out about one of the imprints going to the party that he had the entire pack go. Emily and Kim were there too. They weren’t about to let their men loose on the Makah Reservation. The fact that Emily is Makah didn’t escape our notice.
“Do you see her?” he asked.
We all took a look around.
“There she is,” Jake pointed. “She and her friends are trying to pitch their tent.”
“Then we help them. Come on!” Sam urged.
We walked over to Bella and her two friends and donned smiles on our faces.
“Hey, Bells,” Jacob greeted.
“Hi, Jakey!” she ran up to him and hugged him. She was already drunk, and so were her friends. Wonderful.
“Bella, who are your friends?” her caramel-haired friend asked.
“Oh, Lauren, Jess, Angela, Ben, these are some of my friends from La Push. This is Emily, Jacob, Sam, Quil, Embry, Paul, and Jeffrey.”
“You told me that your name was Jared,” Lauren spat. “Did you lie to me?”
“No, it is Jared.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, Jared is definitely my name.”
“Bella, he says his name is Jared.”
“Really? I could have sworn that it was Jeffrey. My dad told me his name is Jeffrey.”
“Oh, the nerve of you!” Lauren slapped me across the face. “Chief Swan knows everyone, and if he says your name is Jeffrey, then your name must be Jeffrey!”
The guys were chuckling on the side. Excellent, thanks for helping out a pack brother.
“Bella, this is my girlfriend, Kim,” Jacob, thankfully, tried to redirect the conversation.
“Oh, hi, Kim. It’s very nice to meet you.”
“Likewise, I’ve heard so much about you.”
Jacob looked really happy to see that they were friendly to each other.
“So, do you girls need help pitching your tent?” Quil asked.
“That would be…” Lauren stopped talking at that moment. She and Quil seemed mesmerized by each other.
“Holy shit. Quil just imprinted on the ho bag of Forks,” Paul whispered in my ear. “I mean, think about it? Aside from Jake, Quil, and Sam every single one of us has made it with her. Even Embry has had a go with her!”
“Hell, yeah, I imprinted. I’m so getting it on tonight.” Quil replied excitedly so only we wolves could hear. “Hi, my name is Quil Ateara, beautiful. You’re my destiny.”
Geez, can he get any sappier?
“I’m your… your destiny?” Lauren asked. She was pretty taken with him.
“Oh, yeah, how can you not be? We Quileutes have a deep connection with the spirits and with just one look in your eyes. I knew you were mine.”
“Yours?”
“Yeah, you’re all mine.”
This is the future shaman of our tribe? He sounds like the hero in one of those Harlequin Romance novels. I read one of my mom’s books once and couldn’t stop laughing at some of the lines the hero in the story used to try to get the job done. I bet Lauren slaps him across the face.
“Oh, yes, I’m yours,” she gushed.
I can’t believe she fell for that crap!
Quil and Lauren dove into the girls’ half-pitched tent and started getting it on.
“I am not sleeping in that tent,” Bella declared, pointing to the gyrating shadow on the tent.
“That’s okay; you can sleep in Jeffrey’s tent,” Paul smirked.
“Jared, my name is Jared!”
“I think Jeffrey’s got a bit of a temper problem,” Bella noted.
Oh, please help me, Taha Aki. How come my imprint isn’t mesmerized by me?
“You could always sleep in my tent,” Paul wagged his eyebrows. I growled at him.
“Um, no. I’ve heard about you. You’re like the man whore of La Push. Who knows what kind of communicable diseases you may be carrying.”
“Who told you that?”
“Jacob.”
Paul’s fist met Jake’s jaw at that moment.
“Bella, you can sleep in our tent,” her friend Angela said.
“She can?” her boyfriend Ben asked, aghast. Clearly, he had been planning to get some tonight.
“Of course, she can.” Angela stared at him with steely eyes.
“Don’t worry, we have plenty of tents. We’ll figure out a place for everyone to bunk,” Emily announced.
“I can’t believe Lauren just fell for Quil’s sappy lines,” Bella said, mirroring my opinion. “Can you, Jess?”
Jess was ignoring Bella completely. Instead, she was in a lip lock with Embry, who had her plastered against a tree. Her hands were squeezing the life out of Embry’s ass.
All of our eyes bulged out. “She’d better be your imprint, Em,” Sam whispered. He gave our alpha a thumbs up, picked up Jess, and took off into the woods with her. At least that’ll keep the pack pervert from stalking my imprint.
“What the heck is wrong with everyone?” Bella questioned.
“Come on, sweetie. You can hang out with us.” Emily linked arms with Bella and motioned for us to set up camp.
“Jared, you really need to tell Bella about the imprint. Even Embry and Quil move faster than you,” Jake-the freaking, cock-blocking selfish asshole-commented.
Two hours later, several bonfires were fired up on the beach. We were all partying up a storm. Sam had brought a gigantic cooler filled with beer, and so had Bella and her friends. Paul was making out openly with some Makah chick, and Lauren and Jessica were glued to Quil and Embry, respectively.
A few Makah dudes were making their way to our bonfire. One of them made a beeline straight for Bella. Before he could even get a word in edgewise, all of us guys in the pack stood up and blocked him. He went scurrying away from our bonfire.
A few minutes later, another Makah guy approached Bella.
“Hi, baby. Are you here alone?”
“Does it look like she’s here alone?” I asked.
The guy was drunk and completely undaunted. A few of his friends joined him.
“To me it does. My name is Joey. What’s yours?”
Paul unlatched himself from the chick whose face he was sucking off and put his arm around Bella. “Her name is Taken. Taken by me,” he growled.
Now, why couldn’t I do that?
Bella’s eyes were now as wide as saucers.
“Bullshit, you were just making out with… with… Hey, that’s my girlfriend that you were making out with!” Joey yelled.
“Um, you want her back? Because I got what I wanted,” Paul offered with a friendly grin.
The unnamed Makah girl stood up to her full height. “Oh, now I’m your girlfriend, Joey? What the hell were you doing making a play on the pale face here?”
Now, that comment was totally racist and uncalled for.
“What did you call my friend?” Lauren asked, standing up. Jessica flanked her.
“Pale face, just like the two of you. You Quileutes intermix too much!”
“Why, you racist pig!” Bella snapped and slapped her across the face, knocking the Makah girl down to the sand. And she said I have a temper problem. Sheesh.
“That looked like it hurt. Trust me, I know. She’s got a powerful slap,” Paul sympathized, recalling when Bella had slapped him.
The girl got up and rammed into Bella, and soon the two of them were fighting. Lauren, Jess, and Angela tried to pull Bella away, and then all hell broke loose. About eight of the bitch’s friends came rushing to help, and we had an all-out chick fight. First, Kim jumped into the fray and started pounding chicks two at a time. Then, to Sam’s horror, Emily threw herself into the pit and started punching some girls.
“What the hell are we supposed to do?” Jake asked.
“Well, shit, we can’t actually jump into the fight. It would be wrong to hit women.” Just as the words left Paul’s mouth, Joey clocked him in the jaw. Paul immediately slugged him back then shit went from bad to worse when his friends decided to come to his aid. Now, we had a full-blown melee going with chicks fighting chicks, and we guys pounding the shit out of these puny asswipes. It took all of six seconds to send the cowards running for the hills. More girls were approaching to join the fight, so we yanked our girls out of the fray, packed up our tents and belongings, and loaded them into Sam’s truck. Ben and Angela headed to Third Beach to camp out.
Meanwhile, Quil took the wheel of Lauren’s car and drove it back to La Push because those three girls were way too drunk to get behind the wheel of a vehicle. Embry and I entered the backseat and placed our imprints on our laps. They were passed out cold by the time we arrived in La Push an hour and a half later.
“Jared, man, where the hell are we supposed to go? We can’t exactly take our imprints back home with us.”
“Shit, you’re right. I say we go to Jake’s house. Billy’s pretty cool.”
As we approached Jake’s house, we saw that Chief Swan’s cruiser was parked there.
“Oh, hell no!” Embry gasped. “Quil, get us out of here!”
Bella stirred awake and noticed her father’s police cruiser. “You guys have to park this car somewhere hidden. My father knows what Lauren’s car looks like.”
“Aw, man! Where the hell are we supposed to go now?”
“Sam’s house,” I directed.
We pulled into Sam’s driveway and got to his house. Jake, Kim, and Paul were there too.
“Why the hell are you all here?” Sam asked, annoyed.
“Um, we all lied to our parents and said we were sleeping over at someone’s house, and for us guys, it was under your orders,” I replied.
“Why would he order you to go to the party?” Bella asked.
We all looked at Sam because I sure wasn’t going to tell her that he ordered us all to go to the party to keep Bella safe.
Surprisingly, Emily answered, “I wanted to go to the party to see some of my friends from the Makah Reservation. So naturally, Sam had the entire pack come and protect me.”
“Oh.” Bella accepted the answer right away. “So, what happened to Quil and Embry on the beach? They seemed completely enraptured by Lauren and Jessica all of a sudden.”
“That’s something called imprinting, Bella,” Sam explained. “Imprinting happens when a wolf meets his soul mate. He looks into her eyes, and suddenly that girl becomes his reason for living, his reason for existing in the world. Her protection is his first priority, and all imprints are protected by the pack.”
“That’s kind of romantic in a creepy sort of way,” Bella replied.
“Creepy?”
“Yeah, I mean, you’re saying that a guy meets a girl, and suddenly she’s all he can think about. It’s kind of OCD, don’t you think?”
No one had anything to say. They just stared at her aghast, except for Paul, who laughed his ass off.
“You’re damn straight, Bella, it is OCD. That’s what I’ve been saying all along.”
“Are you going to feel the same way once you imprint, Paul?”
“Dunno, don’t care. I just go with the flow. If I imprint, I imprint, then I’ll deal with it at that time,” he said. “But let me ask you this, what would you do if you found out that someone imprinted on you?”
Bella sat and pondered that question. She bit down on her lower lip while thinking, making her look oh-so-sexy. “I would probably just go with the flow, too. If it’s a freaky supernatural thing, I couldn’t fight it anyway.”
“Exactly.” Paul wagged his eyebrows at me.
Now was my chance to tell her. “Bella, I… I…” I took a deep breath to compose myself. “That day that you slapped…”
Jessica stirred awake. “I feel sick,” she blurted. “I want to throw up.”
Bella bolted up, grabbed Jessica, and took her to the bathroom. We could hear her puking her guts out, praying to the porcelain god.
“Great, now how am I going to tell her?” I mumbled to myself.
