She’s So Gone

Chapter 25:

Izzy spent the rest of the weekend hanging out and getting to know Alice and Rose. By sunday night Izzy wasn’t ready to say goodbye. She never really had any real friends and she was afraid that once school came on monday that everything would go back to the way it was. So you can imagine her surprise when Alice and Rose showed up to pick her up for school on monday.

“What are you guys doing here?” Izzy asked as she answered the door.

“Driving you to school.” Rose said with a smile.

“Where are the guys? Don’t you usually ride with them?” Izzy asked looking around for them.

“They stayed at Edward’s for the weekend and rode to school together this morning, so we figured we would grab you on our way past.” Alice said bouncing on her toes.

Izzy giggled watching her. Rose got a twinkle in her eye when she realized what Izzy was giggling about and Alice sighed.

“I’m never going to live that down am I?” 

“Nope” Both Rose and Izzy said at the same time.

“Alright let’s go before we’re late.” Alice said.

Izzy grabbed her bag and followed the girls out to Alice’s car. They rode to school singing along with any song that came on the radio. When they pulled in next to Emmett’s huge jeep the boys got out and came to help the girls out. Izzy was sure Eddie was gonna swallow Alice’s head when he kissed her. You swear they hadn’t seen each other for months; not a couple days.

Emmett just held his hand out to help Rose out of the car. After their talk over the weekend Izzy was sure that Rose wasn’t gonna wait another minute to claim link…and she was right. As she stood from the car she pulled Emmett into a mind melting kiss. Izzy laughed then clapped, Alice gasped and Edward looked like his eyes were gonna bug out of his head. Jasper just stood flabbergasted.

“Oh please as if none of you knew this was gonna happen.” Rose quipped as she pulled away from a very dazed Emmett.

“Right on Rose.” Izzy cheered.

Rose high fived Izzy as they linked arms and headed toward the quad with everyone following behind them. The silence on the quad was deafening. Izzy shrunk back behind Rose a little, but Rose pulled her forward.

“You got this Swan. Your one of us now.”

“Thanks Rose. Not exactly what I was aiming for.” Izzy sighed.

“Well suck it up buttercup cause there will be no more ghost for you.” Rose whispered in her ear.

Alice snuck up on Izzy’s other side in a show of friendship.

“You got us now Izzy. Let’s show them who you really are.”

Izzy smiled down at Alice.

“Alright let’s do this.” Izzy lifted her head high and walked onto the quad with Alice and Rose. The boys trailing behind them.

Jasper and Emmett had stayed at Edward’s all weekend. They spent the time together playing games, jamming  out and working on some new music for the band. They were surprised when Alice called on monday morning saying they didn’t need a ride. That they were picking up Izzy on the way and would meet them there. Waiting in the parking lot was getting annoying. Everyone kept staring and whispering. Sure it was something that happened all the time but you would think that it would end after the first week or so. 

“Wonder what is taking them so long?” Edward asked.

“They’re girls. Who knows.” Emmett replied.

“I wish they would hurry up.” Jasper grumbled.

Just then the girls pulled in. They were laughing and singing with the radio. Jasper wasn’t sure if them bonding was a good thing or not. He chuckled to himself as Edward and Emmett shot out of the jeep like their asses were on fire to get to the girls. Edward damn near swallowed Alice’s face as he pulled her from the driver side. He watched as Izzy made a face.

Then to everyone’s surprise as Emmett helped Rose from the passenger seat Rose pulled him in and kissed him. The look on Emmett’s face was priceless. Edward actually stopped sucking Alice’s face long enough to look like a fish out of water, but it was Izzy’s giggle that held his attention the most. Just then Rose had to ruin it. Her bitch side was showing.

Of course they knew it was bound to happen but that she initiated it was what caught everyone’s attention. Izzy of course cheered her on. Then they started to the quad.

“What the hell just happened?” Edward asked.

“I believe Rose just claimed her man.” Jasper snickered.

“Hell yeah she did, and she can do that anytime she wants.” Emmett said.

Just then Rose and Izzy froze, or more like Izzy froze. Jasper knew she didn’t like the attention and walking in with them would definitely get her noticed. Before he could move to her side Alice was there. It was almost like they were showing a united front. The girls whispered to Izzy and then she held her head up and started walking. The smile that split Jasper’s face would light up all of Dallas.

“What are you smiling about?” Emmett asked.

“Yeah what’s got you all smiley?” Edward echoed.

“Nothing at all.”

“Bull shit.”

“Izzy.” was all Jasper said.

Emmett and Edward looked toward the girls and saw them strutting together toward their table. Both found themselves smiling right along with him. Their girls were definitely a sight to look at.
