She’s So Gone
By Midnight Dreamer

Chapter 01:
Isabella Dwyer had always been a shy, quiet girl; never one to draw attention to herself. She was often called a loner, a black sheep if you will. Always hiding behind her long locks of auburn hair. She never spoke out or acted up, she was a model student; the perfect child. Her clothes were often too big for her petite frame but she liked it that way. It helped her hide from the world around her, making her seem invisible. Then one day, out of the blue, someone took notice.
Zavier was the popular type; the class clown, the star quarterback, the center of attention. Everyone knew him and he knew everyone; everyone except Isabella. He would watch her though, in the halls as she ghosted past the other students, never really in the thick of things but there none the less. She intrigued him. He wondered if this was just for show or was she really trying to fade into the background.
One day he decided to follow her. Instead of heading to the cafeteria like all the other students, she made her way to an old music room. He stood in the shadows of the hallway as she went to an old guitar in the corner of the room. He became mesmerized by her soft playing. It fit her character perfectly. He tried to move closer, but he bumped a stray chair startling Isabella. She jumped, looking toward the doorway.
“Who’s there?”
“Sorry i didn’t mean to scare you. You play beautifully.”
“No. I’m sorry i shouldn’t be in here.” She quickly grabbed her things and tried to get past him, but he blocked her way.
“It’s okay Isabella. I shouldn’t have eavse dropped.”
Her head snapped up so fast when he said her name, that he thought it might fall off.
“You know my name?” she stuttered.
“Of course, I know everyone. Name’s Zavier.”
He held out a hand toward her. She took it tentatively and quickly dropped it.
“Not much of a people person are you?”
“No not really.”
“You don’t know many people do you?”
“I know who everyone is.”
“But you talk to no one?”
“They don’t talk to me either.”
“Well I’m talking to you.”
“Why?”
“You seemed like you could use a friend.”
“A friend?”
“Yeah”
“Okay”
