Chapter 07:

Emmett, Alice and Edward all returned that Friday. They spent the weekend hanging out in a garage they used for practice behind Emmett’s house.

“So has anything new happened over summer while we were away?” Alice started off the conversation.

“Same old, same old. Mom’s still seeing that douche from the garage and Dad is living up the life of a bachelor. Different bimbo every other night.” Edward replied with a grimace.

“Gram and Gramps wants to know when y’all coming out to visit?” Emmett asked everyone.

“Don’t know. My mom and dad are having affairs behind each others back, they both know but neither cares.” Rose answered, looking down with a frown and shaking her head.

“Dad’s still working to much, Mom’s still bitching about him working to much, and Uncle Tommy is in Jail again.” Jasper said while shrugging his shoulders.

“Wow what a summer.” Alice added.

“Yeah. Oh my mom said something about a new student starting on Monday.” Edward chimed in.

“Really? Know anything?” Emmett asked curious as always.

“Just that’s it’s a girl. She’s a junior like us, and she’s Doc Swans daughter. She came to stay for the summer, but i guess they agreed to let her stay till graduation.” Edward added.

“Her name is Izzy.” Jasper whispered.

“You’ve met her?” Rose questioned.

“Not personally, no. She works at the music shop. She plays guitar there weeknights and weekends. I went there the day i got back to pick up some shit. Dave was working and gave me the rumor mill run down. He said she doesn’t talk much but damn can she play.” Jasper said dreamily as he thought back on her skills with the guitar.

“Damn Jazz, you sound like your crushin.” Emmett prodded playfully.

“Wait till you see her.” Jasper grinned.

“That good huh?” Edward seemed a little too interested.

“Edward Anthony Masen” Alice scolded her boyfriend.

“Sorry Alley” Edward said while giving puppy eyes to Alice.

“Alright enough gossip, let’s jam.” Jasper said while walking to his drum set.
